BIOGRAPHY
Renowned steelpan musician, arranger, and educator Keishaun Julien brings his passion, talent, and experience to the worldwide music scene both live and in the digital space. He is one of the most sought-after steelpan soloists in Trinidad and Tobago and the winner of several competitions.
Keishaun has performed internationally in countries such as France, Belgium, Japan, Canada and the United States to name a few. He has also provided services for many leading corporate, government and non-government organizations.
Born on the island of Tobago, Keishaun was introduced to the steelpan at 5 years old. However, it was after his first Panorama at age 10 with Our Boys Steel Orchestra, that ignited his love for this unique instrument, setting the stage for his future path. Keishaun credits his mentor, Leeandro Noray, for playing an instrumental role in helping him grow as a soloist. Some of Keishaun’s musical influences include Duvone Stewart, Ken “Professor” Philmore, Liam Teague, and Len “Boogsie” Sharpe.
Keishaun holds a BA in Music Arts from the University of the West Indies. He is also the Arranger for Alpha Pan Pioneers and is a member of the BPTT Renegades panorama band, where he has three championships as a player under the leadership of Duvone Stewart.
In addition to performing live, he continues to attract millions of views across his social media accounts. Today, Keishaun is thrilled to use his online presence to welcome opportunities that allow him to inspire steelpan musicians of all ages as both an educator and mentor.
